First of all, check this guy's awesome font :icondarkangelx:

This is supposed to be... well...what is it? I'm not entirely sure what to call it but let's just say it's a promo picture or whatever.

YES, I am currently making a Starfox movie.
BUT I'm only doing the Storyboard so theres no real animation.
YES, I mean "storyboard". It will consist of sketches and such.
NO, that does not mean it's gonna look like THIS drawing right here lol
NO, I'm not finished.

AND NO, the title's NOT STARFOX THE MOVIE. It's rather STARFOX: THE LYLAT WARS. (I only named this drawing that way to get your attention lol)

The only thing I'm gonna release in the future would be the first segment involving James McCloud's death.

I will upload it once I think the time has come. Could take some weeks maybe months. I already got 15 minutes by the way. I will show it to some friends first!

And there's one thing I'll tell you now: There will be no fake badassery. Taking franchises like Starfox WAY TOO seriously will only end up making a story look stupid. I'm aware of that and I will give my best to make sure it's more or less genuine.
The writing is the most important part of the movie.

oops. I'll try that again.

Well, I don't know. For me, SF64 was great because you could take it fairly seriously whilst at the same time it was funny by blatantly copying Independence Day, Star Wars and so on. It also had some silly dialogue, one of my favourite examples being General Pepper's great line: "You're going to attack the enemy base? GREAT IDEA, FOX!"

Of course Star Fox should never be ridiculously deep/serious/badass, and there's lots of scope for silliness in the dynamic between the characters, but when it comes down to business I always found I could take StarFox fairly seriously (even if I was watching a talking Fox flying a space craft, destroying other anthropomorphic animals in their craft).

I think the 2002 official StarFox Manga was a good example of the balance I'm talking about.

Again, though, this is your thing. Just my two pence.

Oh no, don't get me wrong. When I first wrote this I was actually talking about a GRIMDARK, EMO version of Star Fox that I'm completely against!

This movie is definitely rather serious and even dark at places.
Actually, there's some heavy shit happenin in my story.
However, it's not dark just for the sake of it.
That's the difference I was trying to illustrate here.

Ah, that sounds reassuring.

Well, I don't know. For me, SF64 was great because it

My life would be complete if there was a Star Fox movie! :D
So is your story board focusing on the story line of Star Fox 64? Or are you gonna mix in the other games as well?

It follows the Star Fox 64 story to most extent!

Check this out!

Thank you for being interested in my project! :)
